Privacy policy

1. The file you add never reaches a server

A file you add is processed only in your own browser and is never transmitted to or stored on a server. Each tool reads the file you pick and computes on it locally. The contents of that file (messages, the other person’s name, timestamps) do not reach the company’s servers, and the company does not collect, read or retain them. Results are not stored on a server either; they disappear when you close the tab.

Results can be saved as files: CSV tables, line-by-line TXT, JSON, image files, and PDFs written through your browser’s print-to-PDF. Those files are created inside your browser and saved straight to your own device; they do not pass through the company’s servers. What happens to them afterwards is on your device, so the company cannot know their contents.

This is structure, not a promise in words. No code in the tool scripts sends file contents over the network, and a pre-deployment check stops the release outright if any transmission capability appears. You can verify it yourself: open the page, disconnect from the internet, and the tool still runs to completion.

2. What personal data is collected

There is no sign-up, and the company does not directly collect names, email addresses or phone numbers.

In the course of serving the site over the internet, the hosting and security provider (Cloudflare, Inc.) automatically generates and processes the following.

• IP address, time of access, requested URL
• Browser and operating system details (User-Agent)
• Technical records kept to block abnormal traffic

The company also measures visits and page performance with Cloudflare Web Analytics. That tool uses no cookies and does not identify individuals or collect browser fingerprints.

It records only the aggregate figures below and does not follow visitors individually.

• Page URL and referrer
• Device type, browser, country of access
• Performance figures such as page load time

This measurement has nothing to do with the files you add. As stated in section 1, their contents never leave your browser and are not part of what is measured.

Format reports you send yourself

Below the results of the three KakaoTalk tools there is always a “Report this format” button, next to the line asking whether the result matches your real conversation. If some lines could not be read, the same button also appears in the “lines not read” notice above the results. The button only composes a draft on screen. The company does not receive it automatically, and no request leaves your browser for our servers from that screen.

The draft contains four things: ① a sample of lines that were read, or that could not be read (masked by the rule below), ② the format name the tool decided on, ③ the total message count, ④ the number of unread lines. Items ②③④ cannot contain names or message text; only ① comes from the original file.

That sample is included already masked. Digits become 9, runs of three or more Hangul characters become ㄱ, runs of four or more Latin letters become A, and runs of two or more Japanese characters (hiragana, katakana or kanji, except 午前, 午後 and weekday names such as 木曜日) become ○, so that only the ordering of date and time fields and the separators survive, and names and message text are erased. At most five unread lines and three read lines are included. You can read, edit or delete the draft before sending it.

Only if you copy that draft and send it to us yourself does the company receive its contents, along with whatever you used to reach us (your email address, for instance). That is information you chose to provide, not something collected during use of the service. It is used for one purpose, widening export-format coverage, and nothing else.

3. What it is used for

• Serving the site and rendering it correctly
• Keeping the service available by blocking abnormal access and attacks
• Diagnosing errors and improving the service

4. Retention and deletion

The company does not retain your files or results. The access records in section 2 are kept by the hosting provider only for as long as its policy allows for security and incident response, then deleted automatically. Anything whose purpose has been served is destroyed without delay.

A format report you send (section 2) is kept only until the coverage of that format has been checked and answered, and is destroyed as soon as that is done. If you ask for it to be deleted sooner, it is destroyed immediately. The contact details are in section 9.

5. Processors and third parties

The company does not sell or hand your personal data to third parties. Processing is entrusted only as far as running the service requires.

6. Cookies and advertising

The service currently shows no advertisements and uses no advertising cookies. If advertising is introduced later, this policy will be revised and notice given in advance.

7. Your rights

You may ask to see, correct, delete or halt the processing of your personal data. Write to the contact below and it will be acted on without delay. Because the company keeps no information that identifies you, pinning down which record you mean involves a minimal check, for example the address the report was sent from.

8. Security measures

• File processing confined to the browser, so no transmission path for personal data exists
• HTTPS encryption end to end
• Minimal collection: no member records are held
